LEARN FROM GRACE

“For the grace of God… teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live…godly, in this present world.”
Titus 2:11-12
Main Text:

Beloved, be ready to allow God transform your life to what He wants it to be. Habakkuk 1:13 says that God’s eyes are too pure to behold sin. So we understand that anyone who is living a life of sin cannot dwell in God’s presence nor please Him. Now from Titus 2:12 we can see that when the grace of God is upon a man one of the things that grace does is to teach that man how to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. Are you ready to learn from grace?

One of the ways by which grace teaches a believer to be what God wants him to be is by creating in him a deep and insatiable hunger for the Word of God. Such a believer discovers that he never has enough of the Word; the man includes personal Bible study in his daily schedule; he makes sure that he does not miss fellowship with believers, and while he is there he pays great attention to the Word; a believer like that asks questions on issues in the Bible that he has difficulty understanding on his own. He just hungers and thirsts for the Word of life. And of course someone who is hungry and thirsty for the Word will definitely receive it in abundance, and the Word of God has the power to change lives to what God wants them to be.

Another way by which grace teaches us is by creating in us a desire to tarry in the place of prayer. A believer who has found grace wants to commune with God at all times no matter where he is. Someone like that does not wait until he’s kneeling by his bedside at night or in the morning before he prays: he talks to God all day long and listens to hear what God will say to him in return.

Prayer: Lord, let Your grace teach me more of your nature.
