GOD’S THOUGHTS FOR YOU
“As the havens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughtsâ€
Isaiah 55: 9
Main Text:
Sometimes it’s easy to get focused on what’s happening in the world around us. We hear news on the TV even the disturbing economic situation could have untold effect on us, thereby, we dwell on those thoughts thinking on how to scale through. Take for instance, some Christians were attacked and their churches burnt sown in the Northern Nigeria in 2010 and also the recent Benue and Jos killings all in Nigeria where Christians and others were seriously attacked. Before longs, those thought start to drag us down. In such times, our focus should be on God. When you meditate on God’s Word and His marvelous deeds, you will be changed! How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them! Psalm 139:17
God’s word drives out negative thoughts and fill you with strength. Imagine that you are holding a glass of dirty water in your hand. it’s full of all kinds of particles, sand and dirt, if you were to pour fresh, clean water into that glass continually and just let it overflow, eventually all the dirty water would be gone. All you would have left would be clean water. That is what happens when we flood our minds with the thought of God during trouble.
You can live above the stress and pressure of the world if the word of God has place in us, the bible says God will give us perfect peace when we keep our minds stayed on Him. Don’t be pressed down with the financial worries because God has promised that when we follow His Word, our wealth is eternal. You can live above fear and fret-dream because God has promised that His perfect love will drive out all fear. The perfect peace of the Lord shall envelope your heart throughout your journey in 2018 in the name of Jesus.
Prayer: May your thought continually fill my heart O Lord.
