THE HOLY ANOINTING OIL

And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office. And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.
Ex 30:30-31
Main Text: Main Text: Isaiah 10:37

The anointing is the burden-removing, yoke- destroying power of God. In His wisdom, God instituted the use of the anointing oil, designating it as the Holy anointing oil, which must be passed down from generation to generation. Despite the anointing oil being referenced primarily in the Old testament, its potency and significance remain highly relevant in the New Testament. We must understand that the power of the anointing continues to be an essential element in the life of believer.

We use the anointing oil to release the power of God. In Exodus, the composition of the oil reveals that its ingredients were specially selected to facilitate this divine power. The anointing oil serves multiple purposes, it consecrates a person into a priestly office or ministerial assignment and acts as a point of contact for the release of God’s power on an individual for a specific task. This sacred oil, therefore, plays a crucial role in dedicating and empowering individuals for their God-given missions.

The anointing releases power to us for divine service. We are called to serve in various capacities, and through the anointing, we receive the empowerment needed to fulfill our specific roles in serving the Lord. Additionally, the anointing bestows divine abilities upon us, enabling us to carry out our tasks with a supernatural strength and wisdom that comes from God. This divine empowerment ensures that we can effectively minister and serve according to His will.

Confession:

I declare, I am anointed mightily by the Lord. The Lord expands me on all sides by the anointing of the Holy Ghost. I thrive and prosper, I am blessed and I am anointed with the ability to get wealth, in Jesus name. Amen.
