THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”
1 Cor 1:18
Main Text: Main Text: 1 Corinthians 1:18-31

You might wonder, how could the death of a man on a cross over 2000 years ago save me? Well, here's the truth: the only way to be saved is by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord. Moreover, the only way to save others is to preach the message of the cross! As Scripture declares, "It pleased God through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe" (1 Corinthians 1:21). The cross is central to everything. It is through the cross that God's power and wisdom are revealed. The message of the cross is the power of God. If you desire to witness God's power in action, preach the cross.

Romans 1:16 declares, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek." We must never be ashamed of the gospel of the Cross. It is the singular hope for humanity, the message that transforms lives. While motivation is valuable, it is the cross that profoundly changes people.

When you grasp the significance of the Cross, you will be passionate about soul winning. Jesus willingly died on that cross, entrusting us with a ministry of reconciliation. So why hesitate or hold back? Let us not be selfish with the message of the Cross. It is our duty and privilege to proclaim it boldly: Preach the Cross!

Confession:

I declare that I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation. I embrace the truth that through faith in Jesus Christ, I receive salvation and eternal life. I proclaim Your gospel boldly, knowing that it brings hope, transformation, and freedom to all who believe. I stand firm in the assurance that Your salvation extends to every believer, bridging all divides and offering Your grace without limit.
