DON’T BE A HEARER ONLY, BE A DOER 2

“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
James 1:25
Main Text:

Reading the leaflet of a drug pack will never cure your ailment. If you like, cram the whole leaflet you will still remain the same if you fail to take in the prescribed medication in the right quantity and at the right times. So is Jesus – the word of God! You don’t get better in life, ministry and business until you choose to apply Him to every area of your life.

You are the one limiting the effectual workings of the word! You must apply Him to all affected areas of your life. If your eyes are sick, your entire body will suffer the pain! So is your walk of faith. If you limit God to financial prosperity you will suffer pains in other areas of your life. Have you started taking in His word? See what prophet Jeremiah has to say about the Word: “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15:16.

The word of the Lord is solution to all the questions in your heart. If correctly located and applied, it brings joy and peace. “The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.” Psalm 19:7-8. You can only get better if you locate His word. What are you waiting for, or if I may ask, what is preventing you from choosing the word of God? The words of men and the advice from your friends will fail. Only the word of Christ lives forever. If you want lasting, joy, peace and miracles, get a complete dose of His word and apply them correctly concerning the issues of your life, family, ministry and business.

Prayer: O Lord, help me to dig deeper into your word that I may behold wondrous things out of your commands.
