WHO CAN STAND BEFORE KINGS?
Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings he will not serve before obscure men
Proverbs 22:29 NIV
Main Text:
Diligence and commitment are not negotiable for the person who will be relevant In God’s Kingdom. This even extends to the secular world and of course if you come in contact with the likes of Millionaires of this world or read from their stories; they will tell you that diligence plays a vital role in being successful. Today, it is not uncommon to find organizations employing fresh graduates who have a second class upper. Those who have first class will have organizations fight over them where merit counts. Every king needs able assistants. The quality of a king’s ministers tells a lot about the level of the kingdom. To stand before the king, you must be diligent. In our further text for today, a selection was made of those to stand before the king of Babylon. At the end, in vs.19-20 of Daniel, we read that Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah had no rivals because they stood out diligently.
Remember, in Luke 5:1-7, the Lord chose Peter’s boat out of the two on the lake of Gennesaret. Jesus chose Peter’s boat because He knows what a diligent Peter would achieve for His ministry in so many years to come. In this year of His Kingdom, God will not commit to the lazy ones for the Kingdom’s mission. Laziness is repulsive to God because bravery is required to rule and reign in the Kiingdom.
One of the things I want you to know is that diligence has rewards. Joseph stood before pharaoh. David stood before King Saul. Daniel, Shadrach Meshach and Abednego all stood before king Nebuchadnezzer. It is all about diligence. Will your present level of service make you stand before kings, or even before the king of kings?
Your instrument of office requires hardwork because Jesus was very diligent in His ministry,
Prayer: I will not be lazy in life O Lord I will be diligent always
