ARE YOU ALSO ARROGANT?
For who maketh thee to differ from another? And what hast thou that thou didst not receive? Now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
1 Corinthians 4:7 KJV
Main Text:
It’s easy for any man to forget all that God has done when life is sweet. If care is not taken, you may even consider your brain being responsible for all that you have achieved in life. Seeing this possibility, Apostle Paul sent a warning note to the Corinthians in a question format. This same warning is also for us today. He said as we read from our memory verse: and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? That was a big one and it’s very relevant today. You must constantly look around you to see if there’s anything that you have done successfully or received effortlessly without the help of the Almighty. Starting from the breath in your nostrils to the very little items that you own, all come from God. He is the giver of every good and perfect gift as recorded in the book of James 1:17. God is responsible for your total package so there should be no room for arrogance at all. In fact, why should you be proud in the first instance? Are you feeling big because of your talents, gifts or money? Could it be your appearance that’s making you to be out of control of your parents and pastors? Or you are becoming too much for God because of your affluence and substance in life? All that you are and will ever be or have can only be from God beloved and nothing in you is peculiar to you ALONE.
Kindly read Deuteronomy 8:18. Until you reject the spirit of pride you cannot swim eternally in the ocean of humility and unlimited prosperity. Pride kills and takes God far away from its victims, stay in His Kingdom for safety.
Prayer: I reject every spirit of pride and arrogance planning to take over my affairs in destiny.
