PRAYER AND FELLOWSHIP 2

“Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and prayerful always.”
Romans 12:12 (TLB)
Main Text:

The more we fellowship with God, the more we will know Him. When we don’t know our heavenly Father, Satan can lie to us about Him. He would make us think God is the problem. Eve didn’t know or trust God enough that’s why she believed the serpent. Genesis 3:1-3 “The snake was sneakier than any of the other wild animals that the Lord God had made. One day it came to the woman and asked, "Did God tell you not to eat fruit from any tree in the garden?" The woman answered, "God said we could eat fruit from any tree in the garden, except the one in the middle …. If we do, we will die." (CEV) That wasn’t what God said. Let’s take a look at what He said. Genesis 2:16-17 “But the Lord told him, "You may eat fruit from any tree in the garden, except the one that has the power to let you know the difference between right and wrong. If you eat any fruit from that tree, you will die before the day is over!" (CEV) Eve hadn’t enjoyed the kind of fellowship Adam had with God, consequently, it was easy for the serpent to deceive her. It would be easy to believe the lie of the devil but our trust in the Father causes us to refuse Satan’s lies. Isaiah 26:3

God desires to spend quality time with us. We all enjoy those quality times we spend with our loved ones, and the intimacy that follows, God desires to experience much more with you. However, it can’t be made possible if we don’t seek Him and have His Holy Spirit. We need to be able to hear His voice and follow the promptings of His Spirit. Isaiah 30:21 “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, this is the way, walk ye in it...” (ASV)

God is not the problem, He loves you. Galatians 1:3-4. When you heed to the call to fellowship, you will find out for yourself that God is faithful. When you know Him through fellowship, you will operate out of your spirit where the faith and power of God resides.
