REJOICE
“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!”
Philippians 4:4
Main Text: Romans 8:30-37
No matter what happens around us, as God’s children, it is expected of us to always live happy and rejoicing. That’s why the Bible instructs us to “rejoice” in the Lord, the word “rejoice” was repeated twice in the opening scripture; that shows just how important it is to the Lord that we express joy from our spirits man irrespective of our circumstances.
“What if there’s nothing to rejoice about?” you may ask. Well, rejoice all the same! Understand that the condition of your spirit dictates what goes on around you. If you’re unhappy, everything around you would be sad and senseless. And that situation wouldn’t change though until you affect positively the state of your mind. Therefore, you have to make up your mind to maintain a joyful spirit even in the midst of discouraging and difficult circumstances, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
It makes no difference that those you thought could be of help to you turned their backs on you; remain joyful. After all, God never told you to put your trust in men (Psalm 118:8-9). Whether or not there’s money in your bank account, be joyful. If you allow circumstances, the happenings around you or the actions of others determine your state of mind, then, you’re not acting on the Word of God. Remember, the blessing is for those who do or act on God’s Word (James 1:22-25). The Word says rejoice evermore (1 Thessalonians 5:16).
Feel very good before God, dance and be happy, make up your mind that nothing will ever take away your joy in the program for today: REJOICE in the Holy Spirit!
Confession:
My life is a bundle of joy and happiness, for the joy of the Lord is my strength! Irrespective of circumstances, I remain cheerful and merry with praise, knowing that I draw out prosperity, peace, success, health and other blessings from deep within me. Glory to God!
