GOD'S GRACE

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
Romans 5:1-2
Main Text: Main Text: Acts 11:22-24

It's s important for us to note that God’s grace is unconditional love towards us to propel us into His perfect will for our lives. Grace is most needed and best understood amidst sin, suffering, and brokenness. Therefore, what is grace? The Hebrew (CHEN) and Greek (CHARIS) words for grace add value to our understanding of God’s grace. Charis is the Greek word used for grace in the New Testament. Charis is a benevolent disposition towards someone.

When you became a Christian, you earned the right to enjoy the grace of God in it’s fullest. Once a man comes into contact with grace, an elevation in life is guaranteed, Apostle Paul said “I am what I am by the grace of God” 1 Corn 15:10. Jesus came to deliver the Jews from the bondage of the Law, which was not extended to the Gentiles, and to introduce the Jews and Gentiles to His love, grace, and mercy. When we believe in Jesus Christ and make Him the Lord of our lives, we all become a part of the new covenant of grace.

Being under grace doesn’t exempt us from all laws. Jesus gave us a commandment to live by. He said, “I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another.  By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves] (John 13:34:35). As born-again Christians, Jesus gives us His love, and with His love He helps us to love others. We, in our human effort alone, can never love the way Jesus does. Our human love will always have conditions attached to it. Only Jesus can help us to love others with the God-kind of love, which is unconditional.

Confession:

I enjoy the grace of God! I walk in grace, I have been given grace for grace, grace rules in my life! Amen!
