PRAYER – THE PLACE OF CONFESSION
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.â€
2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)
Main Text:
Once you have prayed in faith, hold fast to your confession. God is aware of your situation – nothing takes Him by chance. The moment you prayed in faith, He heard you and answers were released. Hebrews 1:14 “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (KJV) Daniel 10:12. You can be rest assured that what you prayed for in faith will come to pass. Maintain your faith by keeping your confessions. What you say must be in line with God’s Word. Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (ESV)
Job 6:25 “How forcible are right words! But what doth your arguing reprove?” (KJV) Speak only words that agree with what you desire. Job 22:28- also decree a thing29 “Thou shalt, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, there is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.” (KJV) The importance of speaking right cannot be overemphasized. Faith is released with the mouth, words are vehicles, and faith-filled words bring about the blessing. God spoke faith-filled words and today we see the manifestation of those words in creation. Proverbs 6:2 “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” (KJV) Words carry power. The very force of life and death are powered by the tongue (Proverbs 18:21) When faith words are spoken, they are backed with correspondent actions James 2:17. God’s word instructs us to be doers and not hearers only. In applying faith, two elements are involved: words and action. Real bible faith demands action.
Confession: I declare according to the word of God; my fields will be blessed. My children and my crops will be blessed. The offspring of my herds and flocks will be blessed. My fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. Wherever I go and whatever I do, I will be blessed.
Prayer: I speak positively.
