MORE THAN A CONQUEROR

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
Rom 8:37
Main Text: Main text: 2 Corinthians 2:14

At redemption, we became not just winners but super victors—we became much more than conquerors. A conqueror is someone who subdues or overcomes an adversary. However, our status surpasses this; we are more than conquerors. The Greek term for "more than conquerors" is "hupernikao," which is composed of two parts: "hyper," meaning more than, excessive, super, over the top, and "nikao," which is where we get the name “Nike” from.  Meaning to conquer, carry off the victory, and come off victorious, victor. Therefore, we are super victors, excessive victors, over-the-top victors. This extraordinary victory is ours through Christ, who loved us and gave Himself for us, making us triumphant in every situation.

The Lord desires for you to be a success in life; He does not want you cast down or beaten down. It’s important to recognize that as much as we are righteous, we are also more than conquerors. This blessedness is one of the many benefits of being righteous. You are a super victor, not a failure! Embrace your identity in Christ and walk in the victory He has already secured for you.

Can anything separate you from Jesus? Can the loss of your job? Can turmoil in the nation? Can COVID or any sickness? No! Nothing can separate us from Jesus! Regardless of the ordeals life throws at you, you are more than a conqueror. You are not a waste; you are cherished and victorious in Christ. Stand firm in this truth, knowing that His love and power sustain you through every trial.

Confession:

I declare that through Christ who loves me, I am more than a conqueror. His love empowers me to overcome every obstacle and challenge. I stand firm in His victory, knowing that His strength and grace are more than sufficient for me. I walk in faith, believing in His promises and embracing the abundant life He has provided for me. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
