WHEN HEAVEN BEARS YOU RECORD II
And Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him
Genesis 5:24
Main Text:
When God honors you He makes extraordinary things happen in your life that will get people amazed. For instance, in Genesis 5:24 Enoch walked with God, and also, in II Kings 2 we read the story of how Elijah was transported to heaven in a chariot of fire. Both men did not taste death but went to heaven in a different way. That is one of the extraordinary things the Lord can do for people He honors. We know of course that it is not everyone whom God honors that goes to heaven without dying, otherwise people like Samuel should not have died. But of course every such person in this age who lives until the rapture takes place will have the honor of experiencing what is written in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
Another thing that happens when God recognizes and honors you is that He can change rules because of you. Consider the case of Joshua in Joshua chapter 10: 12-14, “Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Aijalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies… So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.”
Imagine the various escape from what could have destroyed you, think about God’s provision on what could have brought you shame, see how God makes you alive up till now are all testimonies of His honour on you.
Prayer: Let heavens always favour me
