THERE IS RESTORATION!
“Thou shall arise, and have mercy upon Zion; for the time to favour her, yea, the set time is come"
Psalm 102:13
Main Text:
An English song writer, George Asaf, once wrote, “What’s the use of worrying? It never was worthwhile, so pack up your troubles in your old kitbag and smile, smile, smile”. This song stresses the need to be undaunted during distress and trouble and demonstrate positive attitude of courage and hope.
Our text above has relevant interpretation for those who are passing through problems and troubles today, that reliance on God will bring restoration of whatever has been lost or damaged. Though the Psalmist realized the undesirable state of Jerusalem and even foresaw its future devastation, he was hopeful that one day there would be restoration of Zion city into its former glory and of even its attainment of a more perfect and desirable state. Rather than succumb to frustration, he resorted to prayer and positive confession of the Word of God.
To find oneself in an undesirable situation is not new in life. Yet, our attitude at such times is what matters most. The Psalmist knew there would be devastation by the enemy and people of the land taken into captivity. In spite of all these, he was hopeful that the time of restoration shall come. Do you believe God for your restoration moment? Do you think God will not rescue you from the current mess? No! Our God is not wicked to abandon us in time of trouble. He surely will make a way.
God understands what you are passing through this time. You may be married and no children yet, there shall be restoration. Just trust in His prevailing Word for everything. Whatever the challenges you are facing, why not cast your burden upon Jesus so that there will be restoration? You can do absolutely nothing by your own sense. No amount of human reasoning can bring a solution to a situation that lacks the presence of God. Search His Word and know that He is a Rewarder of diligent seekers.
Prayer: I refuse to be drown by my challenges
