YOU DARE NOT SHARE IN HIS GLORY
“I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.â€
Isaiah 42:8
Main Text:
You need a daily walk with God to get Him involved in every detail of your life. Therefore, your altar of prayer must be on fire 24/7 and your faith must be in God and not on your strength, efforts or fat banks accounts. You have not achieved anything save the fact that God breathed in you and empowered you to do the little you have done so far. If you fail to acknowledge Him as your source, you will be shocked that your records will soon be wiped off without any further trace of who you used to be. Remember the story of King Nebuchadnezzar? For failing to acknowledge God’s supremacy, he had to live among beasts for some 7 years.
You need to be very careful not to allow pride ruin your years of labour on the earth. You are not the one doing these works. God placed you in that family so that He can use you as a channel of blessing to all your siblings. Your role in that office came to limelight by His anointing and not by your know-how. Apostle Paul says: “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” (2 Corinthians 4:7).
Let God be praised and not you. Let God shine and not you. You need to allow God to be seen in all you do. Don’t share in His glory. Be humble in the little He has apportioned to you according to the measure of grace that you have received. The Glory belongs to God and no man is allowed to share in it. As you focus on following God with all level of humility and simplicity, He will not only make you shine but your work with Him shall be eternally glorious.
Prayer: Father, give me the grace to follow you humbly without attributing any of this greatness and success to myself.
