PROSPERITY THROUGH OBEDIENCE

“keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.”
DEUT 29:9
Main Text: MAIN TEXT: JOSHUA 1:8

Prosperity has always been God’s desire for mankind. When God created Adam, He didn’t place him in a barren or poverty-stricken garden. Instead, He positioned him in the flourishing Garden of Eden, a place overflowing with abundance and beauty. Through the law of first mention, we see that God’s original intent for humanity was prosperity and provision.

However, prosperity is tied to obedience. The call to “keep the word of the covenant” implies a life committed to obeying God’s Word. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gave the Great Commission: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Here, Jesus not only commands obedience but also attaches a profound promise—His presence.

When the Lord is with a person, their life becomes marked by divine favor and undeniable prosperity. This truth is echoed in Genesis 39:2: “And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man.” The presence of Jesus guarantees ordered steps and abundant blessings. Yet, to experience His abiding presence, we must heed His command to witness to the lost. Soul winning is not just an act of obedience; it is the key to unlocking God’s prosperity for your life.

Confession:

How beautiful are the feet of those that preach the gospel! Therefore, I declare, my feet are blessed and anointed for kingdom advancement. I give myself wholly to the proclamation of the gospel, reaching my neighbors and everyone around me with the message of salvation. I obey the words of Jesus Christ, and through my obedience, I walk in undeniable prosperity. I am fruitful in soul-winning, and my life reflects the beauty of the kingdom. Glory to God!
