TRUST AND OBEY 1
“Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.â€
Jeremiah 26:13
Main Text:
It’s vain to follow God in disobedience. In fact, it amounts to a total waste of time and gross self-deceit if you cannot trust the God you serve for the little things in your life. God is God and He will never operate like man. If you cannot trust His word you cannot enjoy Him in anyway. Trust comes with strong belief in His Almightiness. Obedience is a major prerequisite in getting Him to intervene in your issues at the required time.
“Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked everyone in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but they did them not.” Jeremiah 11:8.
It’s not impossible for God to do all He says He will do. The only hindrance to the release of all your expected miracles is the imperfect state of your heart with the Lord. When you claim you trust God, you are automatically compelled to follow Him without any reservation and having no other option! The difference between you and world ought to be that the world recognises the provisions of God but not in totality because they believe there can still be other ways or methods out of their ugly state. This should not be true about you. Our God is very jealous. He can’t share His glory with any man or any graven image. If you must follow Him, then must you believe that He’s the rewarder of them that diligently follow him. (Hebrews 11:6). There’s no room for incomplete obedience. It’s either you obey God or not. Please note that it’s dangerous to rebel against the written and spoken word of grace. If you want to joke with anything at all, let it not be the word of God
Prayer: Lord, don’t ever allow me to seek other options but to love and follow you all my life.
