A FAITHFUL STEWARD

“The one who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and the one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you haven’t been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will entrust you with the true riches?”
Luke 16: 10-11 (NET)
Main Text: Main Text: 1 Peter 4:10

One of the keys to unending wealth and prosperity is faithful stewardship. You must be faithful in your place of service, giving it your all. Scripture says, “Whatever you do, do as unto the Lord” (Colossians 3:23). This is a major key to prosperity. You must deny yourself certain pleasures to ensure you serve faithfully. Service to the Lord is a privilege, not a right, and when given the opportunity to serve, you must do it with all your might and commitment.

When you serve and demonstrate that you are a shrewd manager of worldly wealth, the Lord will entrust you with true riches. But what are true riches? True riches are the riches of heaven—blessings that money cannot buy, originating from God and bestowed by heaven. They include our relationship with Him and with others, fulfilling the two great commands: loving the Lord and loving people. True riches also encompass generational blessings and heavenly rewards. God desires to give you these true riches, but they can only be received on the platform of faithful stewardship.

We must serve God faithfully, not as those seeking to buy favor or engaging in eye service, but out of genuine love for Him and a desire to advance His kingdom. Ephesians 6:5-8 (MSG) reminds us: “Servants, respectfully obey your earthly masters but always with an eye to obeying the real master, Christ. Don’t just do what you have to do to get by, but work heartily, as Christ’s servants doing what God wants you to do. And work with a smile on your face, always keeping in mind that no matter who happens to be giving the orders, you’re really serving God. Good work will get you good pay from the Master, regardless of whether you are slave or free.” When we serve God wholeheartedly, we receive good pay from the Lord. True prosperity is born out of faithful stewardship.

Confession:

I commit to serving God with all my heart, mind, and strength. My life is dedicated to fulfilling His will and advancing His Kingdom. My service is an act of worship, and I offer it with joy and devotion. As I serve the Lord faithfully, I walk in His abundant blessings. God’s favor surrounds me, and His goodness follows me in all that I do. My life is a testament to His grace and provision. I am a recipient of the true riches that come from heaven. These blessings are not just material, but spiritual—bringing peace, joy, and eternal life. I live in the fullness of God’s provision, knowing that He supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory.
