THE TROUBLE IS A MUST

“Sufficient for the day is its down trouble:
Matthew 6: 34

Pardon me for the above topic today. I just thought that we should though, claim the blessings and peace of God but prepare for war also because the truth is that there are days of trouble. Jesus said we will see trouble even though He has conquered the world on our behalf. We must face the reality. The challenges of life at times are what make the whole things interesting. Just like there is no testimony without a test. Light is good but until the negative-life-wire is present, there can never be an electric light.

If you study the scripture with full understanding, you will realize that the trouble is not expected to destroy us because the glory that lies ahead is the comfort that is expected to keep our souls rejoicing.

There are some stunning realities about this truth. There was a time in the Bible in I Kings 18 & 19, after Prophet Elijah Had killed all the Baal prophets in the land that Queen Jezebel under a powerful spell threatened to kill him, Elijah, too. The man of God did not take it as an empty threat at all, he had to run for his dear life. He ran as far as he could outside the reach of the Queen before an angel of the Lord came to him and ministered strength unto him under a particular tree. He never thought his smooth ministry could be threatened but God showed up. No matter what is your bitter experience, God will surely show up. No amount of seeds sown can prevent the troubles of life, Jesus said, in life you shall see troubles but be of good courage for I have overcome the world.

The Lord Jesus experienced troublesome moments. Infact, Jesus was speaking to believers in the scriptures above. Nahum 1: 7 says that the LORD is “our Stronghold in the day of trouble.” Read very well Psalm 91:1-11.

Prayer:  Lord, deliver me with your mighty hand in the day of trouble.
