THE POWER OF OUR WORDS 1

"By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen."
Hebrews 11:3, NLT
Main Text:

Beloved of God, words are not simply sound we made. Words have real power. In I Samuel 17, David as a young boy was asked to check on the welfare of his brothers who then were at the war front. He got there and met a situation that got him bewildered but nor afraid. He immediately asked for what shall be done to salvage the embarrassing situation. David spoke some words that got to King Saul. Eventually, David encountered Goliath. The first charge was a battle of words. The giant Goliath spoke some intimidating words to David but the young man answered him in confidence with the words of the Almighty God. The Words of faith and the help of the Almighty brought down flat the giant to the ground, and the word took David from being a shepherd boy to be a celebrity in the palace of a powerful king Saul and eventually a man of authority in the land of Israel. Today I declare, the word that shall take you to the place of authority will not lack in your mouth. Words are very powerful. What do you say to the circumstances before you today? What words are in your mouth at this challenging period in the world? Your words are enough to change the story of your life for the best.

Also in the book of II Samuel 1, a story was told of an Amalekite that wanted to score a point by meeting David to tell him a lie that he was the one that killed king Saul, to him he thought David would appreciate his effort but David lamented over the death of the king and in verse 14 David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the Lord's anointed? The man was killed right there. Beloved, David got promoted by his words, and the young Amalekite was judged and sentenced to death by his own words. Words are very powerful and you can see that it can give life and also take life.

Declare the word of life over all yours and this land. Speak the words of healing to that situation and your words shall receive heavenly back up in the name of Jesus

Confession; I am a Child of God, therefore I speak life into my situation. My words will not fail nor fall into empty ground

Prayer: May the power of the Word always work for me
