THE PRAYER OF SUPPLICATION 1

“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Philippians 4:6(KJV)
Main Text:

The Hebrew and Greek words most often translated supplication in the bible as a request or petition. Supplication can be defined as a formal request addressed to a higher power. This kind of prayer changes things. A prayer of supplication is asking God for something. The bible gives us many examples of this form of prayer. In Psalm 4:1 we see David’s supplication for mercy “Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.” (KJV) In Psalm 5:8 we see His supplication for leading “Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.” (KJV) In the New Testament, Jesus tells us to ask for our daily bread Matthew 6:11 “Give us this day our daily bread.” (KJV) Apostle Paul exhorts us to remain alert, and to pray in the Spirit. Ephesians 6:18 “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” (KJV). Without any contradictions, prayers of supplications are part of the spiritual battle all Christians are engaged in. I pray for you today that your supplications will be attended to by the heavens and answers shall come speedily to you in the name of Jesus. Don’t lose heart, be steadfast and know that your supplication unto the Lord is heard,

Confession:  I declare, the blessing and favor of God is in my life. In Jesus' name, divine favor goes ahead of me and surrounds me as a shield. I enjoy goodwill and pleasures forevermore. In the name of Jesus, doors are now opened to me that men have said are impossible to open, no obstacle can stop me, I am not delayed. I am honored by my Father, glory to God I’m blessed!
