LEST YOU FORGET!
“That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:â€
2 Peter 3:2
Main Text:
Beloved, worship and fellowship with the fellow believers is a great avenue to learn details about all the prophecies of the Lord and to stay in touch with Holy Spirit. Your attendance in church is not to mark register or to occupy space. Your coming to the presence of God is to keep you abreast of the will of God for your life and how not to deviate from His will. There’s a great blessing attached to this and you must never take your fellowship time for granted. Don’t allow anything to hinder you from showing your love and respect to God in true worship. The Word of the Lord also confirmed this: “Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.” (Malachi 3:16).
It’s good you re-examine your life and give all the necessary checks as we patiently wait and hope for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. You must not be carried away by the happenings and the loss of Christian virtues as seen in so many end time believers. All these are the fulfilment of the scriptures and also a guide for you to remain in touch with the Almighty. A day is coming when this whole world will fold away. Everything will be gone and you will appear before God to give an account of your life here on earth. If you remember that you will soon give account, don’t you think it’s wisdom to prepare adequately for this unknown day so that you are not caught unawares. “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,” 2 Peter 3:11.
Prayer: Get me adequately prepared for your second coming.
