GIVING AS A WAY TO INCREASE

God has set up a system to bless every believer in Him. God first loves us by giving His only Son to die for the world. In the natural, it’s easy to think that the way to increase is keeping what you have, but in God’s system, it isn’t about what you keep, it’s about what you give. We read about the example that God set for us in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave…” He gave His Son and received many sons who Him as a result according to John 1:12
There are so many promises in the Word of God for those who are receive Christ and believe God. Proverbs 3:9-10 Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything your land produces. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with the finest wine.

God wants to bless His people in every way. When His people are blessed and prospering it causes the nations to take notice of what a good God He is. However, the blessing of God is always released by faith and obedience. When we put our trust in God as our provider, and obey Him by giving to His work on earth, He makes a promise to bless us and bring increase in every area of our lives. Luke 6:38 in the Message Bible tells us that He’ll repay us with bonus and blessing!

You may not think you have that much to give, but ask the Lord to show you how you can be a blessing to the people around you in this 2019. As you give of yourself, your time and resources, you’ll never lack in His Kingdom.

Prayer: Grant me the enablement to always give sacrificially.
