HAVE YOU EXAMINED YOURSELF?

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
2 Corinthians 13:5
Main Text:

You need the truth to live right and to satisfy God in all your ways. The word of God is the living truth and the only escape route from every error and deceit of life. If you locate His word you have located what is required to sustain your sojourn the earth. Jeremiah 15: 16 says; Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. You will develop your state and stature in the Spirit as you daily meditate in the word of God. You will also escape every form of deceit if you are in tune with the Holy Spirit.

It’s more important that you consider your ways and growth in the Lord so that you will not live a wasted life on the earth. The best evaluation should begin with you. Even when people are deceiving or flattering you, you must be wise enough to take a critical look at yourself and make corrections where necessary. If not for any other reason, you should consider your age and the time you have spent so far on earth. Self-evaluation comes with wisdom. Psalm 90:12.

You should mark each birthday with a deep thought of what God is thinking about you and what you are doing with your life. Don’t get carried away with the activities of life and forget you need a right standing with God to get the best in life and to secure eternal life with the Lord. Beloved, do you speak to yourself at all? How well are you considering your ways in relation to your age? When people appear to be deceiving you, I advise you don’t deceive yourself as well.

Prayer: Help me to stay on your word and to live by the truth.
