AS A MAN THINKETH
"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..."
Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)
Main Text: Main Text: Joshua 1:8
Your life is a reflection of your thoughts. This principle was so crucial for Joshua that God instructed him to meditate on His Word Day and night (Joshua 1:8). Similarly, it's imperative for you to let God's Word shape your thinking and guide your actions. Filling your mind with scripture before anything else gives you a solid foundation to build upon.
All things are possible for those who believe (Mark 9:23). However, to believe correctly, you need to know the truth found in God's Word. As you focus your thoughts on the Bible's teachings, following God's specific instructions, you'll find that the world opens up with a wealth of possibilities. You'll start to see your life reflect what you focus on.
To renew your mind, you need to gain knowledge of the truth about who you are in Christ. If you were to visualize your spiritual life as a house, the foundation would be the Word of God, and the framework would be your identity in Christ. Without control over your inner thoughts, you risk becoming a prisoner to external circumstances. This is why it's crucial to guide your thoughts in a positive direction, allowing God's truth to permeate every aspect of your mind.
Confession:
As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Therefore, I choose to maintain a positive mindset. I do not let Satan fill my spirit with negativity or use my mind as a dumping ground for his lies. I keep my thoughts focused on the good things God has provided for me.
