WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
1 Cor 15:1-4
Main Text: Main text: Matthew 28:18-20
The message of the gospel is simple yet profoundly transformative. It reveals the immense love of God, demonstrated through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, who came to die for the sins of humanity. As John 3:16 proclaims “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."
This message underscores the heart of the gospel—God's desire for humanity to experience eternal life rather than perish in the grip of sin and separation from Him. Jesus Christ's life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection provide the pathway to salvation, offering freedom from sin and the consequences of hell.
Hell, a reality described vividly in Scripture, is the eternal separation from God, but the gospel delivers us from this fate. When we accept the truth of Jesus Christ and believe in His finished work on the cross, we receive the gift of salvation and are rescued from the horrors of eternal damnation.
The gospel is truly "good news" because it offers hope, redemption, and restoration to all who believe. It declares that through Jesus, we can be reconciled to God and live a life of purpose, free from the fear of judgment.
Let us share this simple yet life-changing message with boldness and clarity, ensuring that others understand the depth of God’s love and the salvation He freely offers through Christ.
Confession:
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, a living testimony of His grace and love. Therefore, I boldly share this reality with the lost, leading them to salvation and the abundant blessings of following Jesus Christ. I am a vessel of His light, and through me, many come to know and enjoy the riches of His glory. Hallelujah!
