DON’T GIVE UP 2
So let us not allow ourselves to get frustrated doing good... we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up or quit.
Galatians 6: 9 Msg
Main Text:
The difference between faithful people and unfaithful people is unfaithful people give up at the first sign of difficulty. Faithful people keep on going, keeping on the fight. Faithful people are determined. Faithful people are diligent. Faithful people are persistent. Faithful people don’t know how to quit. Why do bad things happen to good people? Why is life so difficult sometimes? Don’t be surprised if God is using tough times in your life to test your faithfulness.
If you’re going through tough times right now, then this verse is for you: “That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. …!” II Corinthians 4:15-17 NLT
In II Corinthians 4, Paul says you need to get the right perspective when you are going through a problem. Don’t look at the temporary problem; look at the long-term reward. Don’t look at the temporary pain; look at the long-term gain. Don’t look at it with the short-term view, “What’s happening to me right now?” Instead, look at the character that you are building because you haven’t given up.
Many are wondering why some proud people, including proud pastors and brethren, treat their fellow human beings like trash, and God is not reacting; many are asking why God is allowing their businesses to go down when they have chosen to do clean businesses while those who are ready to throw their sanctification aside and do dubious deals are making it big. Malachi 3:16-18 “Then they that feared the Lord spake often to one another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon His Name. And they shall be Mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them as a man that spareth his own son.
Prayer: My challenges will not overwhelm me in Jesus name.
