YOU ARE SAVED FOR WHAT? 1
“And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,â€
Mark 3:14
Main Text:
Jesus is not seeking just followers to make crowd, show off or to prove any point to anyone on earth. He has His reasons for calling unto Himself the few that will be obedient to the divine call. He’s already full of glory. His purpose on earth was definite and direct. He came to redirect the steps of man back to his maker – God. That is the ministry of reconciliation. God wants every one of us back to the original glorious state and the only channel to get this done is to identify with the purpose of Christ on the earth by total acceptance of Him as Lord. Therefore, if you have chosen to follow the Lord, you have secured for yourself a noble assignment whose bottom line is to get men out of the hook of Satan and bring them to the feet of Christ for eternal salvation.
“And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,” Mark 3:14.
Beloved, you have a role to play after you are saved. The heartbeat of God is to get the world reconciled unto Him. Your coming to the Lord shouldn’t be for self or pride nor to condemn the world of sin. Your assignment is to make disciples of all nations. If Jesus had followers, then you too must have followers. Jesus is taking every genuine follower to heaven. You must check your life to see where your followers are heading. Towards heaven or on the pathway leading to eternal destruction in hell. Beloved, what you don’t have you can never give. Have you been to Jesus for His cleansing, have you been washed in the blood of the lamb? If your answer is YES, you need to have a spiritual hook that will enable you to get men out of the oceans of sin to serve God in spirit and in truth.
Prayer: Father, please make me what you want me to be in your kingdom.
