YOU NEED AN ACTIVE FAITH
“Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?â€
John 11:40
Main Text:
Beloved, if you truly believe in the Lord your God, you will never regret your decision. What God wants is absolute trust and faith in His unfailing word of grace. If you will trust and never doubt, God is able to fulfil His counsel for your life and grant your heart’s desires. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6). You need absolute faith in God. You must be persistent and diligent in your dealings with the Almighty. Consider the case of the widow in Luke 18:1-7. She didn’t stop her prayers until the intervention came. Faith won’t allow you to quit, faith will rather keep you going and believing what only God can do. There are other shortcuts to your answers but they can never guarantee peace and everlasting joy. This is why you need to rest in God and hope for what He has promised you through His word.
Jesus is our perfect example. He believed and trusted God for every miracle. He knew that God would not disappoint anyone who put his trust on Him. At the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus demonstrated faith by saying: “Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.” John 11:41.
I wouldn’t like to see you praying only but also believing that whatsoever you ask the Father in the name of Jesus will be granted. This is faith in action. Ask God with full assurance of faith. Hold unto His word knowing that He can never lie. You are expected to pray without ceasing because he will answer you at the end of the day. The glory of the Lord is still very much available. He will cancel every shame that hovers around your finance, marriage, and health. Just approach Him through His word for God still honours His Word
Prayer: Father increase my faith and help me to stay on your word.
