YOUR NAME IS REGISTERED IN HEAVEN
“Yes, even the spirits obey you. And you can be happy, not because you have this power, but because your names are written in heaven.â€
Luke 10:20 (ERV)
Main Text:
The names of citizens of a city or state were accustomed to be written in a book or register, from which they were blotted out when they became unworthy, or forfeited the favor of their country. However, the fact that their names were “written” in heaven means that they were citizens of heaven. They were on earth, but their citizenship wasn’t of the earth but of heaven.
The only way our names can be registered in heaven, is to accept Jesus as Lord of our lives. When our names are registered in heaven, it means that we are friends of God and approved by Him and the only way to qualify for this is to make Jesus the Lord of your life. This was of far more value than all "earthly" honor, power, or wealth, and "in" this people should rejoice more than in eminent endowments of influence, learning, talents, or possessions.
It’s important that our names be written in heaven, it’s far more valuable than any blessing this world can offer. This promises eternity with Christ! All whose names aren’t registered in heaven will burn in hell, however, that can be overturned by accepting Jesus into your life. Once you accept Him, you become holy, righteous and a citizen of heaven!
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and that you died for me on the cross. I ask that you come into my heart and use me as you please. Glory to God I am righteous, holy and I am now a citizen of heaven. Hallelujah!
