TRANSLATED INTO HIS KINGDOM

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”
Colossians 1:13 (KJV)
Main Text: Eph 2:4-6

When Jesus died you became rescued and redeemed from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. Darkness here refers to sin, death, sicknesses & diseases, poverty, lack and want, all forms of malignant disease. Darkness is contrasted with light. They have nothing in common - Jesus took us out of abject suffering to a life full of glory.

Most believers haven’t recognized their present status, state and estate. God’s people don’t need deliverance from Satan or the powers of darkness. The only deliverance some may need is from ignorance, and the cure for that is the knowledge of God’s Word: “…through knowledge shall the just be delivered” Proverbs 11:9. The moment you accepted the redemptive works of Christ in your life, and confessed the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the dominion of Satan over you was broken. You’re seated together with Christ in the heavenly realms, “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come” (Ephesians 1:21).

Satan is a defeated foe. You weren’t delivered from the authority of darkness because you prayed hard or because someone prayed for you. You were delivered because that’s the ripple effect of redemption. No true born again person needs deliverance from Satan you were delivered over 2000 years ago.

Confession

I thank you for transferring me from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of your Love Son, Jesus Christ. I live in your presence, and function with the dominion of Christ over darkness, evil powers, demons, and their works. I live the victorious, prosperous and ever-glorious life that I’ve received in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
