RETURN WITH THANKSGIVING
“There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. â€
Luke 17:18
Main Text:
Gratitude is a kingdom virtue that you must cultivate. God awaits the grateful in heart and people who will honour Him in worship for who He is, what He can/will do and for what He’s done. It’ a major error not to render thanksgiving to God for all His marvellous works in the body of Christ. Just imagine your life without the saving grace of our Lord Jesus. It would have been calamitous. But thanks be to God, you are saved, redeemed from your sinful state, blessed and highly favoured. God has been so good to you and you need to think deeply to see correctly. Forget about what you can see, the things which abound beyond the circumference of your eyes are greater things in glory which the Lord has prepared for all them that love him. The Psalmist says: “I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1.
“There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. ” Luke 17:18.
It’s a great evil to live as an ingrate. God values thanksgiving and honours those who honour Him. Your best channel of honour to God is your show of gratitude. If you desire to be great, please start with gratitude to God for all that He’s doing for you and all He promised to do. Praise is a force of faith and only the Christ-like understands this. If you can’t see God in praise it will be difficult getting Him in prayers. If you can secure His attention through thanksgiving, He will not only answer your prayers but will also perfect your testimonies. Consider the leper who returned with thanksgiving in the text above, while others were cleansed, he was made whole. That is, God restored him to his complete state of well-being and fullness of life. “And Jesus said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” Luke 17:19.
Prayer: I refuse to be an ungrateful soul; I will always give You ALL glory
