GOD OBSERVES YOU
“And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.â€
Mark 12:41
Main Text:
We have a God who is sovereign and omniscient on nature. There’s nothing hidden or can be hidden from Him. He knows the state of heart of man and what he plans to do the next moment. He that creates the eyes can’t be blind. Therefore, He sees beyond your scope. You have no secrets before the Lord and this is the reason you have to live carefully knowing that He observes your steps. You can easily deceive your fellow man but don’t try to keep anything away from the Almighty who sees your imagination. He knows your ability and strength and He’s in charge of all your claims and possessions. He knows when you abound in plenty and when you truly suffer need. He judges your motives and intentions and He’s able to say you have acted rightly or wrongly.
“And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.” (Mark 12:41).
Interestingly according to the text above, God also watches the way you give. He rewards the generous givers but wonders at the misers and stingy at heart. Do you have anything that was not given to you by God? Nothing! Show me your possessions and I will show you all that God in His mercy has released to you as blessings. There’s nothing you have that is strange to God. Therefore, giving shouldn’t become a burden to you. Apostle Paul said: “And what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?” 1 Corinthians 4:7). This shows your attitude in giving both to man and to God. If you know that God is your source and the giver of wealth, it won’t be difficult for you to share in love. You can’t surprise God with your gift, you can only make Him wonder when you withdraw from giving. Moreover, you can provoke Him to increase His blessings to you by increasing your giving as He did with King Solomon If you care to have more, start lending unto the Lord now.
Prayer: Father, help me never to be stingy to you and your people around me.
