SURELY THERE IS REST FOR YOUR SOUL

The Lord is our Peace and everyone who seeks to know him shall automatically enter into a season of rest whether in this world or in that which is to come. The word of the Lord guarantees peace and eternal security. “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.” Hebrews 4:9. The only man without peace is the wicked for the word of the Lord confirms that there’s no peace for the wicked. Now that we have identified with His death and resurrection, we are sure without any shadow of doubt that this earthly labour shall be substituted with His favour and we shall graciously enter into His rest, Halleluyah! “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.” Hebrews 4:10

In what manner do you seek rest? Just obeying the word of the Lord is the much-needed tonic. Your marriage can only be fruitful and peaceful if built continually on the Solid Rock which is Jesus Christ. There can be no peace in a home where Christ is not the authority figure. Starting from courtship till death do you part, you must seek to know the path of the Lord and abide faithfully in it then you can have and enjoy rest from the Lord. This very life is loaded with struggles all around but they that know their God shall be strong and easily do exploits. “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest…” (Hebrews 4:11). Concentrate on how to get into the will and counsel of the Lord. Shun all forms of distraction and allow God to baptise you with His divine peace. Take no further step in that journey until you are sure the Lord is leading you into a season of peace and total rest.

Prayer: O Lord, I receive grace to enter into your rest. I don’t want to continue this race in endless struggles
