WALKING IN LOVE
“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.â€
1 John 4:7-8 (KJV)
Main Text:
Most of us think we understand the love of God, however, our experiences prove otherwise. Most times, we feel lonely, depressed, discouraged, and defeated. Every one of this negative feelings can be turned into positives when we grasp a proper revelation of God’s love for us.
As for loving others, most of us would admit there are some people who are difficult to love, because we do not fully understand God’s love for us, we fail in loving others. Generally, we can’t give what we don’t have. If we receive a revelation from God’s Word concerning love, it becomes easy to love others with what we have received. 1 Cor 13:4 (ERV) “Love is patient and kind.”
When we struggle to believe that God’s promises for us will come to pass, that’s unbelief; even though the root of that unbelief is an absence of love. Gal 5:6 makes it clear that faith works by love. This simply means that love is the driving force behind our faith.
Confession
Dear Lord, I love you with all of my heart, soul and strength. I love others as I love myself. Love is a choice, therefore, I choose to love whether it’s convenient or not, I will love! I am blessed in Jesus name.
