IN CONSISTENCY LIES THE RESULT
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.”*
Corinthians 9:24 (NKJV)
Main Text: Mark 10:40-52
Before each Olympic race, every participant undergoes rigorous training. This doesn’t mean they don’t tire out during the event, however, they realize that there’s a prize to be won. An honor to be imparted, everyone desires to be at the top, therefore, they train regularly in order to keep fit and improve their endurance. Asides training, they maintain a strict diet to enable them attain their goal. Everyone is a star, however, only those who are willing to pay the price attain excellence. The Bible encourages us that we should run the race in such a way that we may obtain the prize. Therefore, how do we run the race of faith and excellence?
In Mark 10:46-52 was a perfect example of perseverance. Blind Bartimaeus cried out to Jesus. Throughout Jesus’ stay in Jericho, blind Bartimaeus cried to the Lord for his miracle. He was consistent, he desired to see the sky, he desired to be normal, he desired to move around without his natural forces abated. God wants to do great things through you, he wants to partner with you, certain things might be impossible to you but when you partner with Jehovah ease becomes the order of the day. God needs a man to do great things on the earth and you have to be rightly positioned. In consistency lies the power.
