DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
“And ye have not his word abiding in you; for whom he hath sent, him ye do not believe. Ye search the scriptures, for ye think that in them ye have life eternal, and they it is which bear witness concerning me; And ye will not come to me that ye might have life.”
John 5:38-40 (Darby)
Main Text: Main Text: Deuteronomy 31:6
Jesus demonstrated love to everyone during His time on earth, ministering to all those He encountered. However, the rigid religious mindset of the Pharisees left no room for Jesus. Their adherence to religious order made it challenging for them to accept Jesus, who didn't conform to their preconceived notions.
It's crucial not just to preach about Jesus but to preach Jesus Himself. He is not merely a subject; He is the essence of our faith. God is calling the church to return to the Word, emphasizing the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus. Rather than being a religion, Jesus is a living and transformative relationship.
The question arises: "Who do those around you, whether at work, in your community, or in your church, say that the Son of man is?" Jesus goes beyond religious systems; He is about fostering a personal connection. Finding Jesus requires meeting Him in person, experiencing His presence, and cultivating intimacy. This is an invitation to seek that personal encounter with Jesus today.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, I ask to be taken into a deeper relationship with you, where I wil grow in faith and Your Word, in Jesus name, Amen.
