HAVE YOU ANY REASON TO PRAISE GOD?
“I will give you thanks in the grant assembly; I will praise you among a mighty throngâ€
Psalm 35: 18
Main Text:
There is tremendous power available when we praise the Lord. The Bible says that God inhabits the praises of His people, and when God’s presence manifests, the cloud of darkness must disappear. David was very determined about praising God. He was not particular about the deliverance he received from the bear and lion while in the wilderness but he simply made up his mind to return all the praises to God concerning his life and his seemingly unpleasant situation in his family. Rejected and abandoned, he was in the midst off the jungle, but strengthened and empowered to celebrate God, he grew not minding what tomorrow brings. He purposed in his heart that he would praise God continually and when he got to Psalm 34:1 he confessed aloud: I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Beloved. How many times have appreciated God for all He’s done in your life? Have thought about those…it can only be God experiences in your life. Who would have imagined you could escape those untold hardship? God is worthy of all-time praises.
If only you return to praise and worship like David did, you will not only be delivered from the unseen hands of your enemies but your place in God will be eternal through Christ. Choose to worship Him today with your spirit because your miracle can unfold in doing that. Praise Him and thank Him even for the things you are yet to get from Him and as you do so, He will empower and strengthen you. He will honour you before all men even your enemies inclusive. You wouldn’t have been able to read this devotional if you were dead and deposited in the morgue. The Lord is keeping you because as the Potter, He’s able to re-mould your destiny to a better and bigger shape. Be grateful to Him continually. All will be well with you this year in Jesus’ name.
Prayer: I will live to praise You O Lord
