CHECK YOUR MARITAL ENVIRONMENT

“For as a young man marries a young woman, so your sons will marry you; and as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.”
Isaiah 62:5
Main Text: Main text: Matthew 19:4–6

God created the union of marriage as a ground to better both the man and woman. However, what we feed that environment with determines what our output would be. If we feed our marriage with God’s Word, we are guaranteed to get the best of God, which entails, peace, faithfulness, honor, understanding, and all that derives from God, more so, we can also have toxic environments in marriage when we let the world standard become our guide to marriage.

The scriptures show us what a Godly marriage should be like, 1 Corinthians 11:3 “But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” Just has Christ gave his all to his bride – the Church, a man who desires to be a husband must be willing to give his life for his wife, serving her by washing her with the Word of God. You must develop the habit of constantly feeding your spouse the Word, why? Because you want your environment to flourish.

Psalm 92:13 “They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God.” When your marriage is planted upon the Word, best believe you are set for unlimited prosperity! You want a prosperous marriage? You want peace in your home? Build upon the Word, set your environment to the standard of God’s Word.

Confession:

We are united as one flesh and what God has joined together, no one can separate. We love each other through patience and kindness, knowing it always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. The Word of God is the standard for our home and marriage. Amen.
