THE POWER OF PRAISE 2

“The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
Main Text:

Psalm 89:15-18 “Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted. For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favor our horn shall be exalted. For the Lord is our defense; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.”

Acts 16:25-30 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, and brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Praise made God visit Paul and Silas in the jail through the Holy Spirit; look, when you praise God, He can go the extra mile to get you out of the mess you are faced with. Humorously I say, the first prison break happened in the Bible. Take note of the word sudden, when you praise God, a sudden move of God occurs. Sudden means rapid, speedy, precipitous, hasty, and impulsive. When you praise God all these things happen.

Confession: I live a life worthy to God, I praise God all the days of my life, in my finances, skill, and enterprise I praise the Lord.

Prayer: Your praise will not stop from my mouth O Lord
