UNUSUAL KINDNESS

“The native people showed us unusual kindness, for they kindled a fire and welcomed us all, because it had begun to rain and was cold.”
Acts 28:2 (ESV)
Main Text: MAIN TEXT: 1 Chronicles 12:22

Unusual kindness is a glorious act of God. When Apostle Paul and his companions arrived at Malta, a foreign land, they encountered an extraordinary display of kindness. The people were remarkably warm and welcoming, which reflected God’s favor and acceptance. They received not only relief and hospitality but also a platform to minister Christ. The key to accessing this kind of unusual kindness is to be committed to the Lord’s work. Ensure that your pursuits align with kingdom purposes, and live by the principle of Matthew 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” When your heart is set on God’s business, unusual kindness becomes a natural part of your life.
While the grace and mercy of God are available to all, unusual kindness is reserved for those whose hearts are fully committed to the Lord. King David experienced this firsthand, as the Scriptures say, "day after day, men came to him until he had a great army, like the army of God." When a person walks under the covering of unusual kindness, blessings find them daily—help, favor, and the gift of men become their reality. However, this is only possible when someone passionately pursues the Lord and is completely devoted to Christ.
God desires to prosper His people, but they must be willing to take up their cross and engage in business in deep waters. This means being fully committed to the Lord’s work—witnessing and sharing the message of Jesus with a dying world. A person who is willing to lose their life for Christ will find it, accompanied by the unusual kindness that only comes from the Lord. This extraordinary kindness is granted through the platform of suffering for Christ and taking up our cross daily. So, take up your cross today, and watch what God will do with your life.

Confession:
I declare in the name of Jesus, I walk in the blessing of the Lord, and His favor surrounds me like a shield. I am blessed in all I do, and my life reflects the goodness of God in every area. Everywhere I go, I experience extraordinary kindness from people and situations. The favor of God ensures that doors open for me, and I am shown grace and kindness beyond the ordinary. I am filled with joy and gladness, and my life overflows with kindness. As I am anointed with the oil of gladness, I extend that same kindness and love to everyone around me, reflecting the heart of Christ.
