BE TEACHABLE 1
The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
Proverbs 14:14 KJV
Main Text:
The Bible says, correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. Proverbs 15:10. You should count yourself privileged if you have access to good leaders who are positioned to show you the way and correct you when you go wrong. You are on an unknown journey although many have passed the same route before. Your daily decisions may not be the best step for that adventure you want to embark on. You therefore need guide and counsellors to teach you through the word of God, the right steps to take in life, marriage and ministry. You must add to your prayer requests true and wise men and women who shall stand with you on that journey as guardians and counsellors to ensure that you don’t end up a failure after the struggles of life. This is not to undermine the position of the Holy Spirit in you, of course their counsel must be Word based and always confirmed by the Holy Spirit in you. Wisdom is key in your walk and movement to heights. It’s only the fool that will reject the instructions of the father and a child set for destruction will never listen to the advice of the mother. You will not be destroyed for lack of a right heart for discipline and right teachers in Jesus mighty name. …My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him. Hebrews 12:5.
You must be reachable, “mendable”, “bendable” and teachable if you truly want to fulfil your God ordained destiny. Your refusal to heed warnings and corrections is a cheap and fast route to failure, pains and total regrets in life and ministry. I pray that the Holy Spirit will not be angered to abandon you due to unteachable heart in you.
Prayer: Father, please instruct me on the way that I should go and make me a doer of your word.
