KNOW YOUR STATUS

“He who comes from above is above all … He who comes from heaven is above all”
John 3: 37
Main Text:

One thing that determines authority is status. If a policeman in mufti stands in the middle of a busy road or on a highway and raises hands, attempting to stop drivers (thereby controlling traffic), he may get knocked down by a vehicle. But suppose that same man enrolls in the police force a day after and puts on a police uniform. If he stands in his uniform, stops a vehicle, instantly, the vehicle will stop by obeying his order. Here, the size of the man is not what speaks but his status. The scenario of the police man clearly explains the situation of believers in this world. There is something we already have but which we often are not conscious of – the power of the Holy Spirit. Our status in the Lord is the one that commands authority because of the His presence we carry-the Holy Spirit.

John 1: 12 says that as soon as you receive Jesus Christ, you have been given power or authority to become the son of God. Not you shall be given, rather you have it the moment you accept Christ as your Lord. In Acts 19: 15, when the demons in a man said “Paul and Jesus I know”. These people mentioned, undoubtedly knew their status as heavenly ambassadors. One of the keys I found is the anchor text above. So, whenever I perceive the manifestation of demonic activities around me, I rebuke them by His name. Beloved, your destiny is in your hands. Do not give room to demonic harassment for you have authority over everything, God has placed you above them.

You are from above. Eph. 2; 6 says: “…and raised us up together and made us to sit in the heavenly places….” Not when we die, it is now! See for yourself. Begin to live out your status in Christ through His prevailing Word in this 2018.

Prayer: I will live out my person in Christ in Jesus’ name
