A CRY FROM ABOVE
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
Matt 28:19
Main Text: Main Text: Matthew 6:33
There is a cry from heaven, a command given by our Savior, Jesus Christ. It echoes the heartbeat of God. The greatest expression of our love for Him is revealed in how we treat evangelism and soul-winning efforts. We must give ourselves wholly to this task—in prayers, in our finances, and by personally going out to share the gospel. Jesus said, “GO,” and it is our responsibility to respond. Someone perished in hell because we did not go out to speak. We must take to heart the reality of souls perishing and obey this cry from above. This cry reflects the very heartbeat of God.
We must be truly sold out to the task of evangelism, carrying the burden of souls perishing daily. The mere fact that our Lord Jesus Christ gave this command should stir us to immediate obedience. In the early church, when the people became complacent and did not go out to evangelize, God allowed great persecution to push them into action so that the Word could spread. Acts 8:1 states, "And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time, there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles." The church had become so comfortable that God permitted a hostile situation, forcing them to take the gospel everywhere. If we neglect the call to evangelize by choice, God may allow circumstances in our lives to push us into spreading His Word.
The best decision anyone can make for themselves is to become a soul winner. You must be a soul winner! Jesus is counting on you to reach out to your neighbors and even strangers with the message of salvation. You are called to proclaim the gospel, and this is the highest purpose you can live for. Do not shy away from this task—it’s a divine responsibility and a privilege to partner with God in bringing souls into His kingdom.
Confession:
I declare, I am given to soul winning, and I partner with Christ for the great harvest. I labor faithfully in His vineyard, and I reap my fruits in bountiful harvest. The souls I win are a testament to His grace, and I walk in the blessings of this divine partnership. Amen.
