GOD DID THESE
“The Lord did indeed accomplish great things for us. We were happy.”
Psalm 126:3 (NET)
Main Text: MAIN TEXT: Luke 17:11-19
Before joining the crowd of complaints, take a moment to reflect on your journey from January to this first Sunday and day of December. Ask yourself honestly: Has God been faithful? If your answer is yes, it’s time to stop murmuring and start offering God your heartfelt praise!
The Bible assures us in Psalm 138:8: “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.” This verse is a reminder that God will complete His perfect will for your life. If something isn’t part of His will, it may not require His perfection. But if it aligns with His divine plan, why worry? Instead of focusing on unmet expectations, choose to recognize and celebrate God’s many wondrous deeds in your life. Acknowledge His faithfulness, and trust that His perfect will is being accomplished in you. Let your praise be your response to His unchanging goodness!
The Bible reminds us that God has accomplished great things for us. But what exactly are “great things”? These are significant, impactful, and extraordinary acts that shape our lives for the better. Take a moment to reflect: Did God not protect you through life’s challenges? Did you receive that new job, promotion, or salary increase? Was that long-awaited contract delivered into your hands? Did He not turn around what the enemy meant for harm and work it for your good? Did He provide for your rent and meet your needs? Are these not great things?
It’s easy to overlook God’s blessings and attribute them to chance or effort, but the truth is, His deeds have brought joy to your heart and favor into your life. It’s time to step down from the high horse of ingratitude and acknowledge the Lord for all He has done. Choose to honor Him today with heartfelt thanksgiving, for He is truly worthy of all praise!
Confession:
Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude. I thank You for Your love, mercy, and grace that are new every morning. I thank You for the gift of salvation and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, through whom I have eternal life. I give You thanks for the breath in my lungs, the strength in my body, and the wisdom You have poured into my heart. Thank You for every blessing—seen and unseen—in my life. I am grateful for Your provision, protection, and peace that surpasses all understanding. I declare that my life is a testimony of Your goodness. In every situation, I choose to give You thanks, for You work all things together for my good. I am blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved by You.

Ps 100:1-5 “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
