THE TIDE WILL TURN
“What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.â€
Nahum 1:9
Main Text:
The man Job feared God in the midst of a world that had no fear of God. In fact, God Himself testified in Job 1:8 “Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?" Friends, I know you’re preparing for heaven, but in this world what is man’s testimony about you, what can your neighbor, children, wife or husband, co-workers say about you? Can they testify that you fear God?
Job feared the Lord, however, trouble came to him. The fact that you are a Christian doesn’t mean you are trouble-proof. Scriptures show us that challenges will come, however, God will deliver you from them all. Ps 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” Regardless of the trouble, the tide will turn. You may have been written off by certain people, but I have a word from God to you, “The tide will turn!” Sometimes, challenges come to show you who your true friends are. When trouble befell Job, his three closest friends turned against him; they spoke against him, they accused him, they abused him, they misused him. This was an eye-opener for him. His trouble exposed them and God intervened on his matter. Most times, separation from certain crowd is needed for you to breakthrough.
Job 42:10 “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” Just as God turned around Job’s situation, it was a complete turnaround. God will turn your situation around and you will give birth to your laughter.
Confession: I am blessed, I solve hard situations. I have the wisdom of God; I am the answer to the cry of my generation. I am blessed daily!
