A NEW CREATURE
“So that, assuming that anyone is in Christ, he is a creation new in quality. -The antiquated, out-of-date things [which do not belong to the new life in Christ Jesus] have passed away. Behold, all things have become new in quality.”
2 Corinthians 5:11 (Wuest NT)
Main Text:
The new creature is the born again man created in Christ Jesus. The anchor text above states that the new creature does not possess anything that doesn’t belong to the new life found in Christ Jesus. The new creature is not the “reformed man”. The new creature never existed; He has a new life in Christ Jesus. According to Adam Clarke’s commentary, the new creature is The man not only mended, but he is new made; he is a new creature, a new creation, a little world in himself; formerly, all was in chaotic disorder; now, there is a new creation, which God himself owns as his workmanship, and which he can look on and pronounce very good.
The New Creation life begins the moment he comes into Christ, because there’s no trace of his past. The new creation man is a new species of man born of God. When God gave birth, He gave birth to us, and because we believed in Him we received His nature into our spirits.
The new creation man got saved because Jesus paid the price for his sins. The New Creature is saved by grace. Rom 5:17 (NIV) “For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.” As a new creature, what affected you in your old life, is not permitted to affect you again, take a stand on the Word and live a prosperous life in Christ Jesus.
Confession: I am a New Creation, I walk in the reality of my newfound status in Christ, I am not a liability to my world, I am an asset, an answer to the cry of my generation, I am a giver, I am a kingdom investor, I am blessed of the Lord! Praise God forevermore.
