IT IS ENOUGH

“It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?”
Matt 10:25
Main Text: MAIN TEXT: 1 Corinthians 11:1

The words of Jesus are vital and carry great importance. In a profound statement, Jesus says, "It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord." Let’s first understand who a disciple is—a disciple is simply a follower. In today’s world, many people resist the idea of being like anyone else; they strive to be original. But we must not forget the words of Jesus—it is enough! The Apostle Paul reinforces this by saying, "Be ye followers of me, as I am of Christ Jesus." The primary goal for any disciple is to be a reflection, a replica, of their Master.

Considering the words of Jesus Christ and Apostle Paul, it is crucial for us in this commission to follow the Apostle as he follows Christ. By adhering to his principles, we can grow spiritually and find success in all areas of our lives. As Jesus said, "It is enough for the disciple to be like his master," and for every member of TFHC, it is enough to be like the Apostle. In doing so, we must also do the works of Christ as the Apostle does, and endure the sufferings that come with truly following Him.

True prosperity is built upon this principle: there is nothing wrong with becoming like your master. If it were wrong, Jesus would have told us otherwise. In Acts 11:26, we see the early believers becoming such clear replicas of their Master, Christ, that they were first called Christians in Antioch. They followed the Apostles, who followed the ways of Christ. Do not be ashamed of becoming a replica; it is a sign of spiritual growth and maturity.

Confession:

I am empowered by God's grace, walking in His favor and divine purpose. As Christ has called me, I follow His example and the teachings of our spiritual father, the Apostle, who leads us in the path of righteousness. As the Apostle follows Christ, I too follow with dedication, striving to fulfill the great commission and live a life that glorifies the Lord.
