WHEN GOD LIFTS HIS BANNER OVER YOU

“The LORD will strike … with the boils of Egypt, with tumors … and with the itch from which you cannot be healed:
Deuteronomy 28: 27
Main Text:

We do not have a wicked God who inflicts diseases on His own children. He does not have to inflict diseases on people to test their faith in Him. What He may do is to lift His banner or covering on the person He wishes to draw back to Himself or correct. And most times, the correction is to the advantage of the fellow; God is NOT a Wicked GOD by all measures. That was what He did to Saul, the King. So when the Bible says about him (Saul) that “distressing spirit from God troubled him” it really translates that God permitted a distressing spirit to trouble him. The account in Exodus that records the mass killing of the first born of the Egyptian explains this better. It reads; “For the LORD will pass through … and strike….” Then the same verse later read that “The LORD will pass over … and NOT ALLOW the destroyer to strike” Ex. 12: 23. You see, first, it says “The LORD will pass through and strike”, later it says: “The LORD will NOT ALLOW THE destroyer (the devil) to strike”. Put together, this means that it was not God that struck but the devil. However, God permitted him by lifting His shield. The same thing happened to Job.

Today, the objective is for you to know that God does not have diseases in His reserve to punish you even when you sin. What could happen is just that you may deny yourself of divine covering – Is. 59: 1-2. However, Jesus already died for all these reasons, so no disease should come near you anymore. Whatever thing contrary to this is a lie from the destroyer. The chastisement that brought us healing was laid upon Him that was crucified.

God already promised you health. So get up and claim your right through the prevailing Word of God for today

Prayer:  Thank You Father for sending Your Son to pay the price for my health.
