WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU FEEL GOD IS TOO QUIET

“Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.”
Hebrews 10:35
Main Text:

There are also certain things we should do when God is silent. One of them is to believe that God knows what He is doing, and has a better plan than the one we presented to Him. The Bible says that all things work together for good to those who love God (Romans 8:28). Sometimes we cannot see what good can possibly come out of a particular situation that God has allowed in our lives; but if the Bible says it, then that’s the way it is. Also, Proverbs 14:12 says “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” God loves us and wants to keep us alive physically, spiritually, etc, and since He is the one that knows the end of everything, when we ask for things which we think are good for us but which He knows have the potential to hurt us in one area or the other, He will spare such.

Sometimes we may desire a thing but God knows that the best time for us to have it is later, so in His love He keeps it away from us, for our own good. Other times it may be that God is trying to teach us to be patient because He knows that we will need these attributes sometime in the future. By delaying, He teaches and encourages us to wait patiently on Him.

Another thing you should do is put the devil to shame by praising, serving and living for God. This can be very difficult when you are hurting, but if you ask God for the grace, He will make it available. Let us get into the habit of looking beyond our circumstances and situations to see the good, kind, merciful, Almighty God of heaven, who is seated in majesty. Let us learn to appreciate Him not just for what we are getting from Him but also for who He is.

Prayer: May I not go the wrong way O Lord
